No one forced themselves upon him to do the documentary. Considering that he was not doped up at the time, his choice was his own.
What probably happened was that going through withdrawal, etc., his judgement became more clear and/or he didn't want anyone to see what he was going through. Which is understandable.
And my comment about the lawyers was that no professional would have their client sign such a contract if he/she knew they were hopped up on heroin at the time. Maybe Mewes hid it well.
