: After getting no sleep last night and almost giving up hope today, I went out and made up flyers on the off-chance that somebody found the Ferret Baron and was keeping him safe (as opposed to my worst fear, that local wildlife might have made a meal of the poor fellow). After posting one flyer at the Quik Stop (if any of you visit the Quik Stop, you might want to take said flyer as a souvineer), I headed to the local post-office. I was just about to ask the nice woman behind the counter (Melody) if I could post my flyer, but before I got a word out she said (having seen the flyer as I held it out to her), "You know, I live on Florence Avenue in Leonardo, and yesterday my son came home and said they a ferret was living under the neighbor's porch."
: WELL, Florence is right around the block from me, so it HAD to be the Ferret Baron! I rushed down to the address, and some local kids (including Melody's son) were hanging out, waiting for the ferret to appear so they could play with him (they'd played with him all day yesterday, and fed him, too). After some coaxing by rattling his treats jar, the Ferret Baron revealed himself from under the small porch and was saved!!!
: He's currently in his cage eating and drinking lots of water, and thanks you all for your well-wishes, as do I. Maybe later on tonight, he'll make an appearance on the board and write about his undoubtably harrowing ordeal.
