I dont pay for most of my rentals lol
we maximize the freebies with our gold card membership, coupons and gift cards we won from several sources, it is almost painful for me to PAY for a rental!
we did not pay for a rental for months due to the fact my fave fat free pudding had a free rental coupon on it for months and months running TWICE in about a years time. And i ate alot of it because i am a sugar junkie and dieting.
We also get the pre-order a dvd card and get ten free rentals with that when they come out and its a movie we will buy anyway (like Lord of the rings)
there arenot many mom and pops near me, and the BB is like 2 blocks away and i admit its convient but i would go the extra mile if i didnt get so many freebies.
for every new release i rent i get a free non-new.
factor in that those freebies count towards my monthly rentals to get me a free rental every whatever... i am getting a good deal...
i did do mom and pops almost exclusively until a few years ago when i did not have them available.
take heart this country is full of small cities with their own mom and pop stores that get tons of business because there are no chains that close.
unless BB builds one every other city in this country i doubt they will ever run them all out of business.
