I haven't seen BRUCE ALMIGHTY yet, so I should just shut the hell up. But I've been seeing quite a lot of these pg13 watered down comedies that tack on some "be happy with yourself" BS message. What happeneded to just straight out comedy? One of the reasons I love the Farrley Bros is because they don't tack on some sentimental crap to the mix. Liar Liar, in my opinion, was cute and somewhat funny, but could have been so much more had it not been for the kid with the sad "why doesn't daddy love me" puppy eyes.
WHen I saw the delightful FINDING NEMO, i had some extra time so I snuck into BA. Carrey said LOVE ME to aniston, and she says "i did". THe music swelled .and I walked out. I knew EXACTLY where that was going.
Me, Myself and Irene, Clerks, AIrplane, History of the world pt 1, the big lebowski will always be the perfect comedies to me
