I agree, but happened long before the sixties, only the sixties (lead by Jane Fonda) gave a humiliating reason (I am sorry for all of those Jane Fonda fans). But why did it change? Suffrage, equal rights movement - would not those monumental ideals create more understanding individuals? Where did society leave children behind? and often, those children grow up to not positively contribute to society? Just my personal questions, I do not mean to offend anyone.
