Yes it can be a joke, but one taken too far in some situations. There is a thin line between a serious conversation and expected comedic responses. As for global circumstances, I have no right to complain over this. Women are treated like property all over the world - Israel, Middle East, and there is much infanticide for girls in China and Japan still. As for the United States, in Ohio women are still not benefactors of estate when husband die, Hispanic women in New Mexico are taught that there only purpose in life is to give birth and they do not need to know anything else - just for an example. It may be just a joke, but I believe that the punch line is no longer funny. I do have sense of humor, but i also believe that people take seriously that "All MEN are created equal." Sorry if this is too blunt.
