with a daughter to worry about i'd have to say go for the job security, and conform. i'm saying that not even knowing if there are added issues like medical benefits and such that come with conforming as opposed to the independent route as well. going to need more than just groceries as well, it'd be nice to knock off and spend time with your daughter when you want, but if that means you aren't going to have enough to squirrel away some savings you'll have all the time in the world to spend with her when she's still living at home because you couldn't afford to send her to college.
