One of the few novels of any significance to mention my hometown of Little Falls. Only as a train stop. Still Vonnegut is Indiana for genius.

Still, wasn't there still a sense to "Player Piano" that despite the fact... perhaps BECAUSE... that the struggle for the survival of intellect and morality is fixed and almost unwinnable, it's still our obligation to struggle that struggle until the stars go out?

Are we not all, should we not all be ghost shirts, believing we are bulletproof not to be bulletproof but to allow ourselves the dignity of the struggle for what's right?

Is something good worthless because it's probably impossible?
