any ides for a short film?

I have just been given an assignment college, and i have to write and direct a 5 minute short film, it has to have a beginning middle and end. Now I am totally lost for ideas, which is wired as I am always writing (but there on a bigger scale!) How can I say something with only 5 minutes to do so..:S

So far I have come up with the idea of following an item. For example kid losses a comic or something, and it passes through a few different hands/Scenarios until it gets back to its original owner.

Or I have a vague idea for a split personality, stoners, or skater kind of things!

Action/thriller may be a bit dumb as 19 yr olds running round with guns may look to stupid...unless it’s to do with teen angst,Pier pressure, acceptance kind of storys.

All I know for definite is that I want do some cool shots with camera, and cool dialogue! I love writing dialogue

Any ideas guys?
