I'd just like to state for the record that Gerry is the best film I've seen in years. Van Sant, Damon, and Casey created a masterpiece for the ages that will earn a considerable amount of well-deserved praise as it ages like a fine wine. Ben Affleck is cool, but he needs to do more movies like this to earn back some of his credibility. Some of Matt Damon's starring vehicle didn't light up the box office, but at least he has shown a desire to maintain longevity within the biz by establishing some artistic integrity. I'm sorry if my thoughts piss anyone off; I just think Ben is a fine actor who is above and beyond some of the crap movies he's appeared in. He could do any stock, Hollywood, leading man role in his sleep. I want to see him challenge himself with a total disregard for his newly established image or the box office returns of the project. I hope, for my sake, that this desire is not indicative of the board's minority opinion.
