Ok, I think I have something to ask, to be honest its a stupid assed question, but I should really try to take advantage of being close to a red name. Ok, here goes.
I am a writer - I haven't been published/sold anything yet, but I don't wanna say I WANT to be a writer, because I know that I wanna write. Thing is, how do you break through? Kevin made Clerks independently, and that broke him through, but what do you do if you don't have the resources to make an independent film? Ideally, I want to direct my stuff too, but I'm not naive enough to think I can walk into a studio with my first script and say, "Give me some money so I can make this movie" - I'm good, but I'm not that good. Anyway, just thought I'd see if someone with experience had any advice for me.
