: What a blast! At first it seemed the Q & A was going to suck because it was being conducted by this sub-James Lipton type guy who had been fired by CNN, but then about 15 minutes into it, upon Kevin's request the guy left the stage and Kevin fielded questions for 3 HOURS!
: I laughed, I (almost) cried...it was really wonderful.
Right on. I haven't seen Kevin in person in about 3 1/2 years. It was so great to hear him talk at length again and to give us some news anecdotes that weren't on "An Evening With Kevin Smith". The stuff about Jay was really amazing and sad, but conversely his closing story about his wedding was incredible. I wish he could've gotten around to me so I could ask about his Derek Jeter jersey and the Yankees chances for the rest of the season, but it seems he turned every question into a great one. And what a deal too. $11 for a great print of Dogma AND a 3 hour Q&A! Not that I've ever lost faith in Kevin, but I have wavered sometimes in my hopes to rejoin the Askew family. Last night completely reminded me why Kevin is my inspriation and reason for even being here in LA to begin with!
That...and I wanted to offer to treat him to waffles at Roscoe's. Oh well, maybe some other time.
Thanks Kev.
