Thats probably because shes come out of a relationship and wants to have some "fun" for a while instead of settling down again - so, I think if you like her company so much you were willing to see her when she feels like it, but not be possesive if you found out she'd been dating other guys too then sure - but you'd have to be a saint to be able to put up with that.
A different tactic altogether would be to totally act like friends - don't make any moves on her, and if she tries with you be like "no, we're just friends" I guarantee she'll suddenly find you irresistable! We always want what we think we can't have!!
