: Christianity is was very much a perfect fit for me, NOw let em state i was not raised in any religion at all. I literally came to it on my own. My faith has doen alot fo me and means alot to me. But you are right people do corrupt The bible for their own purposes. They leave out the whole "everyone is a sinner and no one is fit to judge anothers sins" thing. They think because they have religion they can judge. They are still the same sinner they were before, just forgiven. They forget where they came fomr i guess, they forget they are not perfect they forget God said not to judge. It amazes me ppl choose the religion they do andthen seem to know so little. I was naive for the first few years of my Christianity, Until due to illness i was somewhat homebound for a few years. I wasnt able to get to church, but i was alble to get alone with the Bible and was amazed at how different it was to what I had learned either from other christians or in church etc etc... The Bible is an amazing thing once you see it without the input of others opinion.
Faith is a wonderful thing: you have come to it on your own, it's always there when you need it, and no one can take it away from you. Blind faith can be a dangerous thing, though. A lot of people claim to believe in God and follow the doctrines of Christianity without knowing what that means. They start their religiousness (I don't think it's a word, but it gets across my meaning) without a clear basis of what they believe and why they believe it. This just leads to more blind decisions, about stuff like sin, judgement, punishment, etc. People who don't do their research don't have true faith, they just follow another person's interpretation. Those are the people who give everyone else a bad rep.
