Kevin Smith is a fan of comics but it by no means his entire personality, nor are his movies about comic books, yes he has characters who write, draw, trace and read them, but thats an aspect of the characters just as it is an aspect of Kevin.... and besides we are not so stupid that we do not get the comic book references, we just are not comic fans not living under a rock lol
