I lost my mother in '97, and the thing that I feel helped me the most was the vacation I had until her funeral. Me and my brother stayed with my dad and my sister during that time, and it helped us all a lot to just talk about things. We talked about old memories, what kind of funeral arrangements my mom would've wanted, what the future would be like. It helped a lot to just be with the rest of the family.
It might not be much advice, but stick to your family and talk about everything you feel.
