Close-minded rednecks are universal, can't deny that. But... I dunno, you'd think a place with something that can pretty much be called a city (not on the level with NYC, which is what I'm more used to, but still - it's the state capital, and it IS a city, sky scrapers and all) would be less likely to have the streets roll up at 9pm. There's 1 24-hour diner in the vicinity, and it's non-fucking-smoking!!! What the HELL is up with that?! I'm a Jersey girl! I grew up smoking in diners! The 24-hr. non-smoker is the only "real" diner around here, anyway; the rest are all these crappity chrome faux-50's diner-STYLE restaurants. Bleaugh.
But that's neither here nor there. I never cease to be amazed at the difference between here and home. And that's why as soon as my lease is up and I have the money, I'm going back where I belong. Woo-hoo! It's back to NJ for me!
