i think the image was made by one of the higher-ups on the show (not jhonen)... he posted it on his website on his last day of work. rather poignant i thought.
i'm not 100% certain anymore, but i *think* there is going to be a christmas special. I think it was supposed to be out last christmas only it's not animated by a crew in Korea, but by two dudes in los angeles... so maybe christmas 2010.
