I was never an avid reader of Daredevil though I have been a Marvel nutjob for awhile. I drew the same conclusion about Matt finding that necklace at the end, though it wasn't hers but a new one in brail I believe. I'd say this definately leaves her still being alive open. It makes the fodder for Hollywoods consistant wet dreams about sequals. Plus, I've been hearing about a possible Elektra spin off.
My one beef in the movie is Elektra not being a fucking assassin. But still, loved the movie.
