I found the board in the midst of Dogma-fever in '99. I posted as 'Chiron' for a while and then lurked for a loooong time. Ever since I've used the same handle.
I'd say the board is predominately 80% new people (those here 6 months or less). But most of the old timers just lurk. They're still around, they just don't pop up that often.
