He's lived with a woman for years. He tried to be vague about anything personal for a long time (he said that it helped the viewer "believe" him more in a role), and that's when the gay rumors started. He finally "came out" as being straight in a Playboy interview a couple of years ago, adding, though, that sexual orientation is a non-issue.
