I could be wrong, but I think that's what he did with the guide.
I'd like to see him write a memior about his experience dealing with his father's murder, and the prosecution of the murderer. Of course it's tough for some people to write about experiences THAT personal.
By the way, a funny side note to Choke...
They published a chapter (the chapter about humping in public restrooms on trains and planes and stuff) in Playboy, and honest to GOD, I bought Playboy for the articles...I got it JUST to read the chapter. This was before the book was published, and after I became addicted to Fight Club.
To bring it all back the Askewniverse... What would you all think if they remade Fight Club?
