: Our Constitution protects Freedom of Speech and says you cannot be executed for it. Other cultures don't have that. We think they're wrong, they think we're wrong. But since they don't believe in the Ten Commandments that told our Founding Fathers that murder was wrong, we have no basis to argue back that it is.

From what I know the founding fathers were deists. Meaning they beleived god was dead or he left long ago. They were not religious. I still don't understand why a person needs god as a basis for right and wrong. If I was to beleive that then I would think its ok to punish my children by death. God is the basis for right and wrong, Right?
