although after all the little gangsta wannabes posting, I may change my mind...Listen to A Tribe Called Quest, Old Wu Tang, Run DMC, Beasties, Rakim and others..Good stuff, as far as sampling goes, rap producers have to be extra careful what they sample, and when they get clearance on a beat, the original artist gets PAID. Believe me. Maybe it's payback for all of those years young British white guys made their careers off of Old Black Blues??? IE: Yardbirds, Eric Clapton, Led Zeppelin, etc....
