On the last board, someone (I forgot the name) asked about the ending, and someone responded back that in the book he DOES run off and take on a new life. Since I read the book, I just wanted to clear that up.
The only diference between the book ending and the movie ending was that in the book, Monty marries some girl from the small town (instead of Naturelle like in the film). In the book they leave the ending open-ended too.
Edward Norton is the BEST damn actor working today! What a great film!
