I was working at a camp a few years back, working with the kids. One day I'm talking with this, and he starts to make these anti-semitic comments, saying how Jews shouldn't be allowed to live in Montreal and what have you. This kid liked me, so I said to him: "You know that I'm Jewish?" and he responds, I shit you not, "No your not. Your Irish." Now, I don't have a Jewish sounding last name, but I don't think it sounds Irish either. I've been told I don't look Jewish by many people, but then again, this Dutch girl I barely knew bluntly told me I have a "Jew nose" the very first time she saw me. Anyway, I tried to explain to this kid that I was Jewish, and that Jews are the same as others, but he wouldn't have it. He refused to believe that I wasn't Irish.
