A grammatically incorrect title for this post.
A documentary on a musuem recently won a film festival in my state.
I am happy for the movie maker, or docu maker, but sad that this is
what it has come down to. There is a small amount of films being
made in this state, and I mean indie projects even shorts. Everyone
is waiting for the big budget, or backers, they want $500,000 and a
script doctor, and an Arri 35 before they shoot. No one wants to hang
their balls out and make a film, and the ones that make the shorts
are criticized to death that they no longer have any self-esteem. No
one wants to help them anymore. Toomany premadonnas, not
enough madonnas. Someone needs to come along and make the
Apocalypse Now of indie films, a dv no budget all out bankrupting but
moving film.
