More of an observation, but when you tell the Jon Peters story, you say he told you to write Superman with 1.) No tights, and 2.) No flying. It seems ludicrous, until you watch "Smallville" and realize that's exactly the premise of that entire show.
Granted, young Clark isn't being asked to battle giant spiders.
