It's the only large college that gets ANY sort of crowds for its women's basketball games... so of COURSE they're getting the best of the best of women's college basketball.
I'm not trying to be cynical or anything... but at my old school and at just about every college I've been to the extent of attention that the women's basketball gets is... when you see a tall woman who doesn't seem to attend any classes, you assume she's on the basketball team. That's it.
I'm not saying that such gender inequity is right... but it's there.
Or maybe I'm just bitter that I went to Syracuse, where the athletes run the school to the extent that THE FUCKING FIELD GOAL KICKER was a pussyhound and the defensive ends got to throw people through pizzashop store fronts without prosecution... despite the fact that they always choke in the big game.
I mean, sure, we'll cut you illegal slack if you're GOOD, but you're the fucking Orangemen, most likely every year, basketball and football, to be the team who gets the most votes without breaking the Top 25.
Syracuse Orangemen, the eternal unofficial Number 26.
