Simply, you don't have to thread in and out, fish through parts of other conversations with this... if you don't want to.
You don't wanna read 20 posts of conversation, you just wanna get to the red or the regular who replied at the bottom... that's all you need to read.
It's non-imposing to people who don't have much knowledge of the internet... so newbies can come in, Hollywood types can come in without being overwhelmed by bells and whistles and heavy-bandwidth shit.
Easy to flip, easy to read, easy to maintain.
I find other board systems needlessly ornate and muddled, myself.
