It has recently been said on this board that Kevin has a good memory for those he has met (i.e. lesser mortals)...

Here is a tale of prodigious memory by a famous personage.

In 1969 (yes, I am that ancient) I took part in the London 'bridges walk' - sponsored for each of the 19 bridges over the Thames crossed in a 26 mile walk. Those of us who survived were invited to a 'disco' at the Lyceum Ballroom. The guy driving the decks was called Noel Edmonds... I got talking to him... He told me that he would shortly be starting as a DJ with BBC Radio One i.e. national fame would be his. In 1970 Noel Edmonds appeared on BBC radio and went on to have quite a career in radio and TV.

In 2000 I went to the UK International Motor Show at the National Exhibition Centre, Birmingham. One of the celebs there that day was... Noel Edmonds. I managed to get to see him.

"Hello, Noel, remember me?"

The swine, he did!

He couldn't remember my name, but he remembered the Bridge Walk Disco at the Lyceum. Almost exactly 31 years. Not bad!

Anyone else got a similar story?
