Which cinemas would anyone recommend (considering our location)? And are there any sites which I can search all the Manhattan cinema listings?

If you have the address of the hotel where you are staying, use the zip code and search on moviefone.com, it will give you the closest local theaters.

Any general advice, things to see/do etc while we are there would be hugely appreciated.

The NBC Studio Tour is a lot of fun, and I would definitely try to do that. You can buy tickets ahead of time on the NBC website. There is also information there for other NBC shows and how to get free tickets (standby mostly). If you are interested in seeing the Caroline Rhea show, those tickets are pretty easy to get, the e-mail address is at the website, and you can request a specific day. You can probably try the other big networks websites too to try to get tickets to tv shows, but I've only been to NBC myself. If you like theater, there are lots of great shows in the theater district, and you can ask the people at the hotel where to go to get them at half-price the day of the show. ESPN Sports Zone is fun, so is Mars 2112 (especially with kids). Hard Rock Cafe and Planet Hollywood are always fun too.

Have a great trip!
