Or did just passing around one microphone amongst seven people make it "choice"? Did I really need to hear from Jim Jacks, executive producer of Mallrats and a big reason why Mallrats failed at the box office as miserably as his other brilliant but underappreciated Grammercy film, Dazed And Confused? Did I really have to hear from Ed Hapstack and how he rules at hockey? Wouldn't the commentary have been a hell of a lot better with Jeff Anderson, the fucking co-star of the film? Wouldn't it have been better had Mewes not been passed out drunk on the floor with no desire to say anything?

No. Do the commentary over again, I say. Get O'Halloran AND Anderson at least. The first commentary was not "choice". It was back in the laserdisc days when nobody cared about commentaries.
