Chris had to leave SNL after the 26th season because an NBC executive decided he, apparently, wasn't funny enough. Will Ferrell and Chris Kattan both made an attempt to get him back on the show, but alas, no luck. Later on, it had been rumored that Chris would be making a cameo on SNL, March 2nd, 2002. Well, instead of making JUST a cameo he had made his returning appearance on SNL. The NBC executive that had fired him, had left NBC, so Chris had a chance to re-join the cast of SNL for the 27th season. And all qualms about Chris Parnell as a cast member were settled. I'm glad he's back. Now, if they would just bring Will back...
