The Canon XL1-S, as far as I know, still has the same problem that its predecessor had, in that the lens can VERY easily be thrown out of focus. It also has a hard time keeping focus when recording fast motion. The only other option with the XL1, is to buy the very expensive lens for it. Otherwise, just don't bother with it, and get the Sony.
: Can any one here give me some feedback on either the sony or cannon digital camcorders. Are they good enough to make a film?
