I don't consider "lush/glossy" and "subdued" to be mutually exclusive (Argento's TRAUMA is visually subdued compared to say OPERA or SUSPIRIA, but it's still a very lush looking film with beautiful lighting), JERSEY GIRL has some really lush looking shots in it, but it still strikes me as "subdued" in comparison to say a Scorsese film. That's what I was getting at.

: I'm suprised by the subdued part. Usually VZ is very glossy in his modern day photography (even in "Life as a House") and I read that Kevin likened JERSEY GIRL to JERRY MAGUIRE in some aspects (which was a very glossy film as well) so I figured this would be kind of "lush" looking.
