: TO: Kevin Smith

: Hey,
: Some friends and I are doing a movie for school history fair and we were wondering if we can use the characters Randal, Dante, and Lando in the movie. Just making sure you wouldn't mind.

Hello,

I'm responding on behalf of View Askew Productions. Using any character goes against article 17 of the Hollywood copyright laws of 1957. If informed of any wrong doing we will be forced to take legal action. To give you an example, in 2000 a group of film students set off to reproduce a scene from Dogma in the woods of Salem, South Carolina (Have you seen Deliverence?) and were never heard from again. Coincidence? I think not. Thank you for your inquiry.
