Have Kevin Smith movies ever been 'blockbusters' during their initial release? You can't say 'Clerks', 'Mallrats', or 'Chasing Amy' were HUGE during their releases...or 'Dogma' too. 'JSBSB' was probably the biggest one, but it still wasn't selling out everywhere. In fact, the movies are always much bigger during the renting and buying phases of the movie releases. I think that this will probably be the most successful because it does have two HUGE stars in it, and people love seeing movies with those HUGE stars, don't they? And all Kevin Smith fans will see it anyway, either in the theaters or, like they've been doing, on video. I don't think that the success or failure of 'Gigli' will have too much of an effect on the success of the film compared to the earlier Kevin Smith movies...

It should be the most successful (in money terms) film that Smith has made. And romantic comedies (as this film is being labeled by all the magazines and papers) make a shitload of money, even if they suck. Freddie Prinze still having a career is the perfect example.
