Saying that the movie's moral was don't dress up like a naughty clown or you'll get ass-raped (as you so perspicaciously put it) is like saying that the moral behind A Time To Kill was if you don't want to be raped then don't be black.
I think the movie was more like the story of a guys life that dressed like a naughty clown and was ass raped.
And, as a lot of people already pointed out, Kev didn't "make" this movie. Bryan "Steve Dave" Johnson did.
