What will sell the most action figures, what will appeal to the most people who DON'T read the comics or ever will. After all, the people who read the comics are going to see it regardless of what stories it is based on. The studio doesn't need to appeal to them.
My advice if you really truly want to enjoy it is don't read them.....EVER.
Of course if you insist on the good stuff, pick up the Marvel Visionaries Frank Miller/Daredevil hardcovers or TPB and the Marvel Knights TPB's.
