...I believe was partly to make the whole film-making thing a bit easier, because (last I heard) Jen loves LA ('s where she worked for USA Today, I believe, before and when they met) and so that Harley can play outside whenever she wants (instead of growing up in shitty NJ weather.
Besides, it seems Kevin goes to NJ a lot anyway to do stuff... although I think when it comes to signing stash stuff, they just send him a big box of stuff which he signs and sends back... although saying that, he might just go back to NJ and do it.
