Going way to the other side of unique is something else entirely.

I mean, I understand the argument that one would want to give their child a unique name, as their's was not. My first name is Michelle, and having been born in the very early 70's when said name was popularized by the Beatles in song, I shared that name with many. I was never in even one class throughout all my years in school when there wasn't at least one other girl named Michelle.

Thus, I used that argument when I had my son, and named him Jayden. It wasn't *too* out there, I thought, but different enough to give him some individuality. Of course this can come back to bite you in the ass, as Jayden is not nearly as unique as one would think.

Since I had my son, I've heard the name several times; There's another boy here in town about his age with the name, Will and Jada named their son Jaden, some actor on some soap, even one of the babies used in Jersey Girl. And, those are just a few.
