The article, listed below, states that the east coast's (of NA) best viewing time will be from 5 - 6 AM, however, based on last year's shower I would say get out no later than 2 AM.

If the conditions are right this can be a really amazing display. And since it will be a very, VERY long time before we see them at anywhere near this rate I suggest you make the effort to witness it. We'll all be dead and buried before it happens again.
