He's making this shit up as he goes along... and basically doing whatever he thinks will get 5-year-olds on board and push questionable filming techniques. He no longer has people who can actually temper his decisions and tell him when he's wrong, he's spent twenty years surrounded by children, out-of-touch computer geeks and yes-men money-handlers.
