I'm really not trying to piss people off, but I loved both the books and the movie. I thought the movie did as good a job of translating the book as it could. The book was much deeper and had a more involved plot, the movie was already pushing 3 hours.
The spiders were much more effective in the book, but handled poorly for the movie. It mainly makes sense to those that have read the books, and that's not a good idea.
Anyhow, all in all, I liked 'em. But I'm practically a kid and all, so...
