: I just stumbled upon the book.....Confessions of a Cineplex Heckler, and it is funny as hell so far........don't know much else about him, but I see that he's written quite a few books, not all film related....

Confessions is amazing, as is 'If You're Talking To Me, Your Career Must Be In Trouble'. I believe there's a third book of columns, even, but I forget the title, and i think it's out of print (as are most of his early books).

'My Goodness' is his finest hour, though, I think. (You should read a couple by him to get a sense of how mean he can be, though, before you read that one.) The Baby Boomer (Balsamic Dreams?) one is okay, more Dave Barry-style, though. And Smalls lent me 'Final Cut' while I was on my own shoot. Good book, but it's almost too honest and not funny enough. Also, the less you know about low budget filmmaking, the less you'll like that book.
