gothics are just stereo-typical attention starved teenagers who wish they had a disfunctional childhood so they would have an excuse to squeeze sympathy out of people. But in reality they live normal text book lives(working parents, nice house, nice family, suburbs, all that shit) and since they were brought up in this environment, they have no intresting traits in their personality so they create a personality based on what they see on MTV because they have no real life experiences. They try to stand out and be different but what they don't get is the fact that everybody else is doing the same thing so they're really just contradicting themselves and becoming part of the majority. When people who have actual fucked up families like me (brother in and out of jail and rehab, alcoholic/manic depressive mother with an anal rententive/ terminally ill brother of her own, burnout father with a burnout brother of HIS own and some fucked up/some dead grandparents) become the minority by not doing anything. I might not look as fucked up as them but i'll have a better book to write when i get out of high school.
