I'm not a movie expert, but I claim to be. When people were bashing "From Dusk Till Dawn" on the board before, I couldn't retort because I never saw it.
After seeing it, I don't really get the complaints.
I think the marketing could have been done in a better way. The first week they play bits form the first half of the film and some "teaser" parts that aren't in the movie to get people not to expect the supernatural events and then in weeks after release show the real trailer.
As for the movie itself. I liked the concept. It was by no means a great piece of cinematic art, but it was very fun and enjoyable. Every once in a while we need a movie that turns the expectations into something else.
