That doesn't work. When the menu comes up and I push the fwd/back buttons it just gives me the error icon (which in my case is a little hand, as if to say "Stop"). But thanks for trying to make me feel like a moron. You are usually pretty good at that.

: The DVD doesn't go straight to the film unless you've programmed it to in Setup. So, the menu comes up. You choose with the fwrd/rew buttons and enter with the play button, so any menu is operable. Not rocket science here.
