But Public Enemy is shit now and NWA became shit long before Cube left. I'm talking about them (Or Wu Tang, if you're not digging the Roots) in their heyday.
I'd also include De La Soul in there, but I'm not sure when NWA's first album came out. I know De La's dropped in 89, and I think NWA did it in 88.
